Testing the itunes DVD buy for the first time ever revealed a few little annoying details. Firstly it took me an hour to download the movie - for the sake of the test we used "The Informant" with Matt Damon. Once I had it down onto the iMac it was time to transfer it over to the iphone which took less than a minute once everything was "synced up". From there we went over the LG blue ray home theater system and loaded the iPhone into the docking station, this is where the fun and games started. We had sound but no picture so I had to add a video out cable to the TV (AV2) so by now we have sound and picture and it all appears to be working ok but I think a drive to the local video shop still beats the itunes experience. I'm sure there will be times when I don't want to go out in the rain and I can browse itunes and grab a movie but for now I'm taking the convertible and getting some fresh air, call me old fashioned but that's the way I'm renting and buying movies for now.
